The kiosk contains five sections on the Fresnel lens:

     - Augustin Fresnel and his invention
     - Sizes or orders of Fresnel lenses, 1st through 6th order
     - Types of Fresnel lens, fixed and rotating, including animated videos
     - Range of the Fresnel lens how it's calculated using the curvature of the earth
     - Lens characteristics, fixed, rotating, and fixed flashing characteristics, including animated video that allows
       visitors to build their own characteristic

Lighthouse Preservation
Artworks Florida is dedicated to the history and preservation of historic Fresnel lenses used to illuminate lighthouses. The first restoration was completed in 1993 in St. Augustine, Florida, where glass prisms were machined and polished to Fresnel's original formulas developed in 1819.


 

Fresnel Lens Replicas
Artworks Florida produces Fresnel lens replicas.  All lenses are custom built according to your specifications.  The frames are manufactured in  brass, the prisms are machined in an optical acrylic material according to Fresnel's original formulas.  Fresnel lens replicas
